Los Angeles, CA – Attorney Jeff Salberg was able to get a DUI thrown out for an aspiring commercial airline pilot.
On April 6, 2013, Sanchez, 23, of Fontana, CA, was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after an officer observed him passed out in his car. Sanchez was sleeping on his steering wheel with the key in the ignition. His vehicle was illegally parked in a Starbucks parking lot. The officer approached the car to check on the defendant’s welfare, when he found Sanchez to be under the influence of alcohol. Sanchez was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Jorgensen and Salberg pleaded with the District Attorney (DA) to negotiate a plea deal, but he refused.
As a result, Mr. Salberg tried the case, which resulted in a hung jury. Just 30 days later, the DA dismissed the case. Sanchez was dismissed on all counts, and is now attending school to be a pilot.
